Activity First Aid (Level 3)

This 2 day course is designed for those who are involved in any form of activity, including sports, leisure and recreation. Not only will you learn basic life support but this course also includes many other First Aid conditions, making this qualification very comprehensive.

Course content

  • Assessment of the situation
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Basic hygiene in First Aid
  • Fractures
  • Drowning injuries 
  • Electrical injuries
  • Heat and cold injuries 
  • Resuscitation 
  • Heart attacks
  • Minor injuries 
  • Bleeding control
  • Head injuries 
  • Diabetes
  • Spinal injuries
  • Angina
  • Choking
  • Seizur

Particularly suitable for:

  • Sports clubs
  • Anyone who works outdoors
  • Anyone who enjoys leisure activities such as cycling, hiking and horse riding etc.   

Certification

Practical elements of this course are assessed on an ongoing by the instructor. On completion of the 2 days attendees will be issued with a certificate in activity first aid, which is valid for 3 years. 

Numbers

Each course can accommodate a maximum of 12 students, all students must be 14 years or  older*. 


*A student under the age of 16 cannot assume responsibility for first aid in the workplace, and then it is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that person is suitable for the role.
