Paediatric First Aid

Paediatric First Aid

This 2 day course has been developed for those who are working  with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to  teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel  and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare  whilst in your care. The purpose of the qualification is for the  learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence  required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations  


Course Content

  

  • Role of the Paediatric First Aider 
  • Seizure 
  • Diabetic emergencies
  • Primary survey 
  • Choking 
  • Asthma
  • Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED) 
  • Minor injuries 
  • Meningitis
  • Wounds, bleeding and shock 
  • Recovery position 
  • Febrile convulsions
  • Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis • Fractures • Extreme cold and heat
  • Head, neck and back injuries 
  • Foreign bodies 
  • Electrical incidents

Certification

Learn how to perform CPR on infants and children, including the use of AED and how to respond to choking emergencies. This course is recommended for parents, babysitters, and caregiver

Location

Learn how to provide basic first aid care, such as treating cuts, burns, and bruises. This course is recommended for anyone who wants to be prepared in case of an emergency.

Cost

Learn advanced first aid care, such as treating fractures, head injuries, and allergic reactions. This course is recommended for healthcare professionals and those who want to be prepared for more severe emergencies.
